“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive.” – James Baldwin

My Site is the manifestation of my passion for sharing stories of others especially the ones with a bit of spice.

  • I  started this BLOG  back in February 2018, It’s taken me awhile to set every thing up, I am still not ready, but trying. When my addiction to reading made me want to start writing down my thoughts and feelings good or bad about the books I had just read. I thought why not, so here I am.Turns out I’m not the only one with such an addiction and I feel like I’ve found my passion, something sadly missing of late, I’ve had the privilege of “READING” an incredible amount of amazingly wonderful books and have friended some incredibly talented authors on Facebook with a shared love for reading. I know they’re a lot of us bloggers out there, but the demon on my shoulder is telling me to do it, Self taught all along the way. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me knowing there are so many other people out there whose hearts race when their favourite book is mentioned, who like me sometimes pulls an all nighter to read ‘cos’ they just *HAVE* to finish their book and to see if anyone else felt the same emotions and then love to share  their recommendations.

I’m Suzy, 53, Mother to 5 Wonderful human beings, and nan to two grandchildren. I’m a Bookaholic! and this is my shout out to the marvellous authors and their story telling, that transport me and I hope you into the realms of Fantasy, The Naughty side and even the Darker side of romance. I have always been a bookworm and love nothing more than to curl up with a book.

    • My love for books is un-rivalled, The only thing that comes close is my music. I believe in the trans formative power of stories in all their forms.

  • 26 letters of the alphabet, Authors, poets, song writers are so gifted to be able to turn them into phrases, sonnets, songs, even whole books,so magical that they take ones breath away, Others can take the same 26 letters, and turn the heat up so high, you feel like you are sitting in the middle of fire, knickers damp, and a new book boyfriend is born.

My ideal book involves a story that makes my heart race, makes it sigh, takes my breath away, makes me shout out loud, makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes my heart melt, makes my mouth water at the new book boyfriend, takes me to far off magical places, beyond the stars, and across the seas, makes me read for several chapters with a big silly grin on my face, lifts me up in times of sorrow, makes me cry when I need it. The intense heart ache and then equally heart warming, making me feel the characters’ emotions as though they were my own, keeps me up reading through the night until the sun rises, has a happy ending, and then stays with me after I’m done reading.  Are inspirational, are Just WOW. but above all worth my time and money. I hate cliffhangers and will almost always refuse to read books that have them if the sequel isn’t already out.  I also hate with a passion those who split one book into several, very small novellas, they are wasting my time, not to mention the expense. The book stuffer who give you one story, which ends about 30% in, and then is filled with back catalogue of their books and links I really despise. Not only are they taking advantage of Kindle Unlimited, they are leaving a terrible stain on the romance genre in general.

I LIVE AND BREATHE MY BOOKS, TELEVISION HOLDS LITTLE INTEREST FOR ME EXCEPT FOR A FEW CHOICE SHOWS.

  • SO WELCOME TO MY WORLD. I AM NEITHER CLEVER NOR ARTICULATE, BUT I AM HONEST IN MY REVIEWS AND EVERY BOOK I REVIEW I HAVE ACQUIRED THROUGH KINDLE UNLIMITED OR I HAVE BOUGHT. NO ARCS
